Of course the traditional Irish will be celebrating St. Patricks Day on March 17th.   Here are a few more options to consider.

For “spirits, sports, food, and fun,” direct your attention to the Elmhurst Pub on Smith Street. The Elmhurst Pub offers an extensive list of draft beers, bottled beers, malts, and liqueurs in a cheap and unpretentious setting.   

Blake's Tavern was rated a "hidden gem" by the Providence Journal, and we can see why.  Located on Washingon Street, the Tavern is a festive and welcoming drinking hole with affordable entree options, a decent beer selection, and excellent service.    

The Downcity space might be a little less "irish" than the others but it still ensures a fun and memorable night out this St. Patrick’s Day.  With its orange walls and cream colored banquettes, this Weybosset St. lounge is an even bigger improvement from its former days as Downcity Food + Cocktails. The playfully themed cocktail list, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover, 4 separate menus (lunch, dinner, brunch, and late night), and twist on traditional Comfort Food will leave you wanting to come back for more.
