My first trip to Blue Grotto was just last week. I have heard a lot of good things about this restaurant and it lived up to all my expecations. The Veal Saltimbocco was melt in your mouth perfection. My better half had the ravioli pancetta which was also out of this world. Definitely a superb Providence restaurant with a very attentive staff. I strongly recomend.

I don't usually write reviews, and I typically never write a good review; but I LOVE this restaurant and have always had the most wonderful experience. We are not part of the rich and famous; yet I have always felt like the most important person in the room. From the genuine friendly greeting at the door to the smile and welcome from the service staff and management, I felt like I belonged there. Try to make the Blue Grotto more than your special occasion restaurant; I think everyone deserves it. Everyone deserves to be treated like they belong, to be served great food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere and to be appreciated for your business. It is one of the greatest reason

What a pleasant surprise we found last night on Federal Hill. We hadn't been to the Blue Grotto in years and on a whim decided to try it again and we were blown away. Not your typical Italian cuisine at all, full of little contemporary twists and surprises you may expect from a New York eatery but not here. The chef is extraordinary!!!

The food is absolutely incredible. I have been before maybe three years ago, and the food was ok. But now i went recently and its by far the best on the hill. Who ever your chef is don't let them go for anything. Thank-you for an awesome evening.

Truly a gem in Providence. I travel a lot for business and each time I come home to enjoy Federal Hill I know exactly where I am going. The Blue Grotto IS Federal Hill to me. The food never disappoints, the menus are changed each season and always make my mouth water. They must have an angel working as a pastry chef because I've never had better cheesecake (Sorry Mom) And the biggest winner for me is the wine list. There are pages and pages of different wines, I always try something new and the servers are incredibly knowledgable, always there with a good suggestion. If you are looking for true Italian flavors in a relaxed atmosphere look no further.

Great traditional italian food, great wine list and good spacing between tables which is rare these days.

Federal Hill has always been a go to source for a great meal. I hadn't been back to the Blue Grotto in quite sometime, however we just went last week and what a treat! I had a seafood risotto dish that was divine, and my two companions had the Chicken Parmigiana and Swordfish, both of which were very good as well. Valet parking is a plus
