My new favorite place!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Siena Restaurant in Providence Rhode Island. When I walked in the door, I was promptly greeted by two smiling hostesses. I unfortunately did not have a reservation, but they offered me a seat at the bar while I waited a short 15 minutes for a table. Just enough time for a delicious cucumber martini. It was unique and refreshing yet sweet. I was then escorted into their tastefully decorated Tuscan dining room, where I received impeccable service. The caprese salad was light, fresh and delicious, and my filet special was to die for. If you ever get the pleasure of dining at Siena, please do not forget to order dessert! The fried dough dessert is topped with cinnamon sugar and topped with vanilla gelato and warm nutella- a crowd pleaser for sure. In short, Siena offers delicious food, excellent service, in a warm and lively atmosphere

I ate there a few times and everytime I said never again! You my as well never make a reservation because I always had to wait atleast an hour before I could be seated! I brought my 80year old mother there for dinner the last time I went there and he almost gave her a heart attack when he came to visit the table, he slammed his hands on the table said hi and ran away, it was quite awkward! Plus the broccli rabe is aweful, and if you want a pizza it takes like 1/2 hour ..longet if they forget it, and the penne vodka pasta entree was too spicy, and it made me sick that night and the next day!

I've dined here, a few times when I visit Providence. Siena is easily in the top 4 or 5 restaurants in the city. The staff is very nice and has always been accommodating. Last visit I had veal stuffed peppers followed by a grilled pizza with vodka sauce. First time for a vodka sauce pizza, and I'll definitely have it again. Overall it was a great meal, and I'd recommend checking it out if your up on Federal Hill, which is a very cute area.
